Welcome to XboxIssues

Welcome. I decided to make this blog after being a Xbox Ambassador for a number of years.

If you don't know an Ambassador is a Volunteer that Microsoft uses to help ease the load on the actual hard working support people.

I noticed that alot of the questions I would get could easily be solved by using Microsofts Xbox.com site.

Since some of the help articles may be hard to find, understand or the issue may be called something different in the gaming community making it more difficult to solve, I've decided to make this blog to make it easier for fellow gamers to get xbox assistance, news and all things Xbox.

If you have any Xbox related question you can find the answer to feel free to contact me on YouTube, twitter or in the comments.

HOW TO: Use Two Step Verification With Your Xbox Live Account (Don't Get Hacked)

Two-step verification helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your Microsoft account. It uses two different forms of identity: your password, and a contact method. Even if someone else finds your password, they'll be stopped if they don't have access to your other devices or accounts. (This is also why it's important to use different passwords for all your accounts.)

You set up two-step verification with an email address, phone number, or authenticator app. When you sign in on a new device or from a new location, we'll send you a security code to enter on the sign-in page.

NEWS: Xbox Touch Controls on Mobile Streaming (xCloud) Come to More Games

Xbox’s vision for cloud gaming is to provide you with choice in how and when you play games. Last month, we shared that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 22 countries can play more than 100 games on their Android mobile phones and tablets via the cloud. Xbox touch controls unlock new ways to jump in and play and we are excited to announce that there are 10 additional titles available with Xbox touch controls in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting today.

And as we bring cloud gaming to Android devices, we have continued to look at how we can create more native experience so that you can jump right in and play. With Minecraft Dungeons we launched our first game with touch controls, and your reaction blew us away. So today we’re making 10 more games available that play great on Android mobile devices – no controller required.

Touch controls have been one of the top-requested features for cloud gaming, so to build this collection we worked closely with players and game designers to create a familiar experience, and support a level of play that you’re used to with a physical controller. For each title that uses Xbox touch controls we’ve worked to create an experience designed specifically for that game on mobile devices.

Here’s the list of games featuring Xbox touch controls available beginning today:

  • Dead Cells
  • Gucamelee! 2
  • Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
  • Hotshot Racing
  • Killer Instinct
  • New Super Lucky’s Tale
  • Slay The Spire
  • Streets of Rage 4
  • Tell Me Why
  • UnderMine

NEWS: Cloud Gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Launches with More Than 150 Games

Microsoft is pleased to share the initial launch line-up of more than 150 games that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play via the cloud in 22 countries starting September 15 at no additional cost. You will find a fantastic, curated selection of games available in the Xbox Game Pass library, including popular Xbox Game Studios titles such as Tell Me Why, Grounded, Forza Horizon 4, and Battletoads, along with favorites from our content partners like Spiritfarer, Untitled Goose Game, and Destiny 2. Similar to Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC, you can expect the library to evolve over time based on members’ feedback, with new games added all the time.

As Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, you can discover the freedom and flexibility the cloud brings to your gaming experience. One of the key benefits of cloud gaming is that it gives you more choices in how to play. Because your Xbox profile resides in the cloud, you can easily continue your Wasteland 3 play through that you began on your living-room Xbox console on your Android phone or tablet. It’s perfect for those times when you want to get in a gaming session while away from home or when your shared TV or console is occupied. With the cloud, a game like Sea of Thieves can transform into a great couch co-op experience with multiple people playing across console, PC, and mobile devices in the same room.

Additionally, cloud gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate now opens up the world of Xbox to those who may not own a console at all. With an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, gamers need only an Android phone or tablet and a supported controller to join in on the fun of Xbox gaming while enjoying the full benefits of the Xbox ecosystem. This includes friends, achievements, parties and voice chat, cloud saves and the ability to enjoy multiplayer with other gamers, irrespective of whether they are playing on console or via the cloud. You can also play with PC players in games where cross-play with Xbox One consoles is supported, such as Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5 and more.

Finally, cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate makes it easier than ever before to play games with your friends. Because members have access to a common library, members immediately have dozens of multiplayer games at their disposal that they can play together. And best of all, if you’re all playing together via the cloud, the games are all ready to go, so you and your friends can all jump in and start playing in seconds. Whether you’re playing with friends on an Xbox One, or if you’re playing with someone experiencing Xbox for the first time through cloud gaming on a mobile device, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate brings you together and makes for the best gaming experience.

New members can join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate today for $1 for the first month, then $14.99 per month after that, which is a great way to ensure you’re ready to take advantage of cloud gaming next week. To play games on your phone or tablet, download the Xbox Game Pass app from the Samsung Galaxy Store (which includes a complete, full-featured experience with in-app purchase capabilities), or the Google Play Store. And if you want to enhance your cloud gaming experience, you can order a new Samsung Galaxy device and select the Gaming Bundle at purchase, which includes three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and the all-new Power A MOGA XP5-X Plus Bluetooth Controller with an attachable phone clip. We’ll launch cloud gaming in beta for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 22 countries to ensure stability as we scale the feature to millions of gamers globally. And this holiday, some of the best EA Play games will be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play on Android devices via the cloud at no additional charge.

This is a pivotal step on our journey to put the player at the center of their experience and empower gamers to play the games they want, with the people they want, anywhere they want. What you’ll see on day one is just the beginning. Over time we’ll continue to innovate and add more games that you want. Stay tuned to Xbox Wire and @XboxGamePass on Twitter for more cloud gaming updates.

SYSTEM UPDATE: Xbox June 2020 Update

Many Xbox gamers use a digital game library, downloading titles to their consoles through memberships like Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold or EA Access. This month we’re announcing updates that make it easier to manage that ever-growing digital games collection. The June 2020 Update is available now and includes improvements for digital game management, verified Official Clubs and more.

Managing Your Digital Games
Today’s game collections are often a mix of games played on a disc, purchased via a digital store, or downloaded with a subscription like Xbox Game Pass. All these great games can make it tough to decide which ones to keep local when you run low on storage space. The June 2020 Update adds overlays to game tiles in My Games & Apps, Home, and Guide to make it easier to tell at-a-glance where you got a game. This release will support games from Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, and EA Access subscriptions.

Xbox Home, shown with new game tile overlays and membership badge.

Celebrating Your Membership
Members of any Xbox Game Pass membership or Xbox Live Gold will also now see a badge next to their Gamertag on Home and in the Guide, highlighting those memberships. In addition, we want Xbox Game Pass members to have an easier time finding their subscription-related content. When a new member joins, we will add the Xbox Game Pass content block to the top of their Xbox One dashboard so they can start discovering new games right away!

Official Clubs Get Verified
Team Xbox is always looking for ways to bring players together, and we love seeing how active Clubs have become on Xbox One since they were first introduced. Since the start, a plethora of fan-based and Official Clubs have cropped up, creating homes for communities within the Xbox ecosystem.

But how are Official Clubs different from fan-based ones? Official Clubs are created and managed by game developers and their community managers, and serve as an official source for information and updates. With all the Clubs on Xbox, it can be tough to immediately tell if the one you’re looking at is the Official Club. We’ve added verification badges to make it easier to see which Clubs are run by the developers directly.
