Welcome to XboxIssues

Welcome. I decided to make this blog after being a Xbox Ambassador for a number of years.

If you don't know an Ambassador is a Volunteer that Microsoft uses to help ease the load on the actual hard working support people.

I noticed that alot of the questions I would get could easily be solved by using Microsofts Xbox.com site.

Since some of the help articles may be hard to find, understand or the issue may be called something different in the gaming community making it more difficult to solve, I've decided to make this blog to make it easier for fellow gamers to get xbox assistance, news and all things Xbox.

If you have any Xbox related question you can find the answer to feel free to contact me on YouTube, twitter or in the comments.

NEWS: Xbox Game Pass 7 Games Being Added November 1st

Microsoft is adding seven more games to the Xbox Game Pass catalog! In addition to over 100 great games already included in your membership, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, Resident Evil HD and more will be ready to play starting November 1. Plus, don’t forget to tune into Mixer on November 1 and watch some our favorite streamers get hands-on with the latest additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
We’re excited to announce Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is joining Xbox Game Pass for the next three months. If you haven’t played Konami’s critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning latest installment to the legendary Metal Gear franchise, wait no longer.

In The Phantom Pain’s single-player campaign, you must stealthily guide Snake through an open world full of countless, dangerous enemies, while navigating the rugged terrain of Afghanistan to take down the evil Patriots organization. Once you finish with the campaign, gather your Xbox Game Pass comrades and jump into The Phantom Pain’s base-building multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online. There’s so much to do, so don’t miss out on all the fun and intensity Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can offer while it’s in the Xbox Game Pass catalog from November 1, 2017 to January 31, 2018. And, if you love Metal Gear Solid V, get ready for next chapter, Metal Gear Survive, which is set to release on Xbox One February 20, 2018.

Halo Wars Definitive Edition
November signals a return to the Halo universe with Halo Wars: Definitive Edition. Halo Wars is an incredibly exciting top-down real-time strategy experience, which requires you to master everything from tactical troop deployments to base building to resource management. Play though the Campaign as you lead the UNSC’s Spirit of Fire against the Covenant forces in this epic adventure. At 1080p, 60fps, and paired with a dynamic soundtrack, now’s the best time to experience this RTS classic.

Resident Evil HD
There’s no better time to bring Resident Evil HD to Xbox Game Pass than during Halloween. As a franchise, Resident Evil is a cornerstone of today’s thriving survival-horror genre within gaming. Dark, ominous, and sure to elicit an involuntary response or two, Resident Evil HD takes you back to 1998, where you take on the role of either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, members of the STARS special forces team sent to investigate a series of very unusual murders. Cornered and sheltered inside a seriously spooky old mansion, you’ll find that your health is precious, and your ammo even more so. Can you survive the dangers of the night and uncover the evil intentions of the Umbrella corporation?

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty
The hits keep coming in November with Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, an iconic 2D platformer that deftly strikes a perfect balance between Oddworld nostalgia and next-gen polish. In New ‘n’ Tasty, you control the lovable Mudokon, Abe, who is thrust into the position of hero-to-be once he realizes the meat processing plant where he works is about to get into the Mudokon-processing business. Not keen to become meat snacks, Abe sets out on a quest to escape the guards, Sligs, Scrabs, and other creepy creatures inhabiting the meat factory. Help Abe sneak his way to survival!

The World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap
For the action RPG and tower defense fans out there, our friends at Neocore have a treat for you: World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap. Jump back into the gothic realm of Incredible Adventures and protect the Silent Forts from the hordes of monsters seeking to destroy Borgovia. Build, protect, and defend solo or cooperatively, and even battle online against your friends and fellow Xbox Game Pass members. We love this Indie gem and we hope you do too!

Mega Man 9
More Mega Man, they said. More Mega Man, we bring. Our blue buddy returns to Xbox Game Pass with more to explore in Mega Man 9. For the uninitiated, Mega Man is a legendary 2D platforming shooter delivering hours of fun battling a wide array of bosses, from Hornet Man to Splash Woman and many more in between.

Sky Force Anniversary
If flying and shooting is your thing, then you better make time in November for Sky Force Anniversary. Brought to you by developer Infinite Dreams, Sky Force Anniversary is an exceptionally fun and fluid vertical scrolling shooter, demanding laser focus, nimble thumbs, and a deft trigger finger. With a deceptively simple but engaging progression system, collect as many stars as you can to strategically build out your weaponry, fortify your defenses, and achieve all four objectives for each stage. Beat all nine levels at each difficulty level and defeat the evil General Madness to unlock a bonus! Having trouble completing your missions as a squadron of one? Pull a friend onto the couch for some local co-op and take down General Madness together!

When the world’s most powerful console launches on Nov. 7, you will be able to run select Xbox 360 games at higher resolution, 9X the original pixel count, and expanded color details. The team developed the Heutchy Method (after the engineer who created it) which leverages the power of Xbox One X to let the Xbox 360 emulator present the very best version of the game possible with the existing assets—all without touching the game code. The same method improves the graphics for Original Xbox games on Xbox One and Xbox One S.

Here are the Xbox 360 games that will join the Xbox One X Enhanced catalog on Nov. 7.

  • Halo 3
  • Fallout 3
  • Oblivion
  • Assassin’s Creed

They will look better on the Xbox One family of devices, taking advantage of the power of Xbox One with up to 4X the pixel count on Xbox One and Xbox One S, and up to 16X the pixel count on Xbox One X. You’ll be able to play Original Xbox games on Xbox One through the disc you already own, or you can purchase the games digitally in the Microsoft Store.

However, offline multiplayer scenarios such as co-op and system-link are supported as they were originally. There will also be no Achievements for Original Xbox games because this functionality was also not originally available.
