Stream Your Own Game – Now on Xbox Consoles
Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate members can stream select games they own—alongside the Game Pass library—directly on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. This expands on the previously supported devices announced in November, which included Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Meta Quest headsets, and browser-based platforms like PCs, smartphones, and tablets. With cloud streaming, players can jump into games instantly, saving time and storage space by skipping downloads and installs.
- To stream from an Xbox console, head to My games & apps > Full library > Owned games.
- Look for the cloud icon on game pages to identify titles available for streaming.
- Use filters like Ready to play and Cloud gaming to quickly find supported games.
- After purchasing a compatible game from the Store, you can even start streaming it immediately.

Access Xbox Remote Play From More Devices
Players can now access and play any game installed on their console by visiting xbox.com/remoteplay using a supported web browser on any device. While Xbox remote play will no longer be available directly through the Xbox mobile app, mobile users can still stream their games via browser.
Support for Xbox remote play is also expanding. Soon, players will be able to stream games on additional devices, including compatible Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices, and Meta Quest headsets.
By bringing Xbox remote play and Xbox Cloud Gaming together on Xbox.com, the experience becomes more unified—allowing for broader device support, streamlined access to the store via the mobile app, and a foundation for future enhancements.
As an added bonus, starting this month, players will also be able to stream backward compatible titles from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 via remote play across all supported devices.
Free Up Space in My Games & Apps
With today’s update, we are introducing a new and improved way to free up storage space on all Xbox consoles. In addition to displaying unused add-ons and shrinkable games, we will now include recommendations for removing duplicate copies of games and games that players no longer have access to. Try out this feature by heading to My Games & Apps > Manage > Free up space.
Game Hubs
New game hubs have launched on Xbox consoles, offering a centralized spot for key game details. These hubs display useful information like player stats, achievements, which friends are currently playing, recent captures, available add-ons, in-game events, and more.
For some players, game hubs will automatically appear when selecting a title from the recently played or installed games list. The focus defaults to the Play button, making it easy to jump in with a quick double-tap on the game tile.
Additionally, a new setting has been added for those who prefer to launch games directly without going through the game hub. This option can be enabled via the personalization settings or by going to My games & apps > Manage > Games & apps.
Xbox App on Mobile
Buy games, Join Game Pass, and Redeem Perks Directly from the Xbox app
One of the most requested features from the Xbox community is finally making its way to the Xbox mobile app. Players will soon be able to purchase games and add-on content, subscribe to Game Pass, and redeem Perks—all directly from their mobile devices. Want to be ready on launch day? Pre-order titles like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 and set them to pre-install on your console right from the app. Games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and MLB The Show 25 will also be available for purchase.
Game Pass subscriptions can now be managed within the app as well, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can claim perks—like the Sea of Thieves Seventh Serving Emote—without ever leaving their phone.
This new experience is starting to roll out to beta users on iOS and Android, with a wider release coming soon via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
For those with a saved payment method, buying is streamlined with a Buy button on game detail pages—making it possible to purchase games or DLC with just two taps.
