Welcome to XboxIssues

Welcome. I decided to make this blog after being a Xbox Ambassador for a number of years.

If you don't know an Ambassador is a Volunteer that Microsoft uses to help ease the load on the actual hard working support people.

I noticed that alot of the questions I would get could easily be solved by using Microsofts Xbox.com site.

Since some of the help articles may be hard to find, understand or the issue may be called something different in the gaming community making it more difficult to solve, I've decided to make this blog to make it easier for fellow gamers to get xbox assistance, news and all things Xbox.

If you have any Xbox related question you can find the answer to feel free to contact me on YouTube, twitter or in the comments.

HOW TO: Capture screenshots on Xbox One

Ever have an epic moment or if your like us and epic fail? Want to make a custom background?   Do you just need a still image and not a whole video clip?

Here is how to capture screenshots on Xbox One.

If you have a Kinect you can simply say "“Xbox, take a screenshot" while playing a game.

If you do not have a Kinect or simply want to use a controller to take a screenshot follow these steps:

While in game:

1.  Double tap the Xbox Button
2.  Tap Y

Note:  The Xbox captures the screenshot when you double-tap the Xbox button. Pressing Y saves the image.

Share or view your screenshots

Your screenshots are available in the Upload app under My captures. In Upload, you can set the screenshot as your background, or share it with others in a number of ways. To set a screenshot as your Xbox console’s background image, do the following:

  1. Start Upload by saying “Xbox, go to Upload,” or select Upload from Games & apps.
  2. Select My captures and then scroll to select the screenshot you want to use as your background image.
  3. Press the Menu button, and then select Set as background.

You can also share the screenshot to your activity feed, in a message, in your showcase, on Twitter, or on OneDrive by doing the following:

  1. Start Upload by saying “Xbox, go to Upload,” or select Upload from Games & apps.
  2. Select My captures and then scroll to select the screenshot you want to share.
  3. Press the Menu button, and then select Share.
Note: Sharing your screenshots will only be available if you have an active Xbox Live Gold membership, or if you’re performing the action on a home console for another Xbox Live Gold member.
